The Master of Matte Paintings
When filmmakers don’t progress with conventional decorations or location shots, they draw on Matte Paintings: Great views of landscapes or cities. The artist Sven Sauer draws these worlds with his digital brush and creates those impressive illusions which are then to see later on the big screen. The Wiesbaden has been responsible for the visual effects of the movie “Hugo Cabret” and the hit series “Game of Thrones”, among others.
